This book favors an intuitive understanding over the endless math found in electrical engineering textbooks. It is the perfect "what they don't teach in school" electronics book. I highly recommend it for any electrical engineering student or graduate for the transistor chapters alone. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is dated/5.   Billington's main merit is that he popularized the concept engineers are capable of making r i think it is a little bit outdated e you cannot frame engineering creativity within constrains if economy, efficiency and critique is very well elaborated in the book titled Towards a New Engineering by 4/5(6).

The Art of Reading Buildings focuses on the practical art of reading a building and applying its positive and negative attributes in developing a size-up for fireground operations that center on structure fires. In this security-conscious era, we spend huge sums on technology. The billet bound book is available on an extremely limited basis for $4, per copy. This is the ultimate hardcover book. To make the machined aluminum binding requires more than 35 pounds of aluminum plate and over 30 hours of CNC mill time for each book. Every page is .
